The Care Professional Academy rewards the Social Care Workforce across Local Authorities within the UK, with great plans to expand nationally over the next few years.

The Care Professional Academy provides a platform for care employers to track their staff training and development and rewards their staff for developing their skills with savings, benefits and cash back across a range of reward platforms. You will also have access to the rewards!

This is a diverse role, with the main focus leading the Provider Engagement team and attracting more members, plus supporting the Academy team across all sectors of the Academy service provision. From ensuring we have the best rewards offer, making contact with providers who provide care services in counties whose Local Authority have purchased The Care Professional Academy and letting them know they can access the Academy services, portal, training passports and rewards for all of their staff for free; with the ultimate aim to increase sign ups and engagement. Plus speaking to new providers outside of funded areas to let them know about the services the Care Professional Academy can offer them with the option to self-fund. Supporting the Academy Manager with launching new contracts, developing key stakeholder relationships, attending events and showcasing the Academy. Lead and manage the team in the absence of Academy Manager. Collation of and analysis of figures for Board and contract meetings. Support with project management across a range of projects within the scope of the Academy.

Role Requirements

Based in Welwyn Garden City, working within an established team, you will be deputising the Academy Manager making contact to ensure the growth and efficient delivery of Academy services to providers and Care Professionals.

Your duties will include:

1. Deputising Duties

  • Support the development of Provider Engagement specialists through one to ones, coaching and sharing knowledge
  • Collate, maintain and analyse provider engagement figures making recommendations to Academy Manager
  • Build relationship and maintain communication with key stakeholders and Contract Managers, prepare for and attend contract meetings with Local Authorities
  • Work collaboratively and creatively across HCPA, specifically with internal teams to include marketing, IT, Business Developments, Education & Quality and SLT
  • IT developments - work collaboratively with external IT companies to ensure the right platform is effective and relevant for The Academy and work with them to develop platform to support growth and sustainability for The Academy.
  • Lead and manage the Academy Team in the absence of Academy Manager reporting directly into Senior Leadership team

2. Provider focus

  • Directly engaging with individual care providers and helping them to understand the benefits of using this free service, researching options to obtain contact details for care providers and make proactive contact
  • Maintaining contact with providers in contract with Local Authorities and follow up with resources and information and nurturing providers through the sign up process
  • Develop Social Care Providers outside of Local Authority areas to sign up to Academy
  • Engaging with care providers already signed up to the Academy to ensure they are maximising use, working in partnership with them on an Engagement Plan and identify any additional support needed

3. Figures, systems and data management

  • Work in line with individual and team KPI’s, collate, maintain and analyse figures
  • Ensure the Academy CRM is kept up to date, communications are logged
  • Work in-line with legislation and Social Care Regulations including GDPR

4. Projects

  • Support Project Management across all Academy projects including
  • i. Academy App
  • ii. Launch of new Local Authorities
  • Any other relevant projects

5. Other

  • Lead on obtaining case studies and feedback from care providers and care professionals - to feedback to stakeholders, use for marketing, and for consideration for improvements
  • Understand the Academy model fully to be able to answer any queries that may arise from customers including providers and Care Professionals.
  • Work closely with the Academy Manager and team to grow the Academy rewards offer
  • Any general tasks as requested which contribute to the smooth running of HCPA and the Care Professional Academy

Person Specification

  • 2 years’ experience leading a sales or customer service team – Essential
  • Experience in Health and Social Care – Desirable
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office packages Excel, Power Point, Word, Project programmes
  • Self-motivated, with excellent ability to work on own initiative, independently and as part of a team
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, enthusiastic, committed, proactive and resourceful
  • Excellent customer care skills and able to prioritise workload
  • Must be able to successfully multitask displaying excellent time management, meet deadlines and KPI’s
  • Ability to work under pressure without compromising the quality of work
  • Be able to communicate with people of all levels across organisation as well as care providers, people working in care, collaborative working across teams and external partners.
  • Excellent standards of written documentation with good attention to detail and accuracy
  • Own transport with insurance for business use is essential for this role as travel around Hertfordshire may be required
  • Flexible working arrangement will be required based on the needs of the Academy.
